In short
You use Splitto / Hesapçı without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
Events you create stay on your device. The moment you share an event, that event’s data is sent to our server — the people you invite need to be able to see it. Anything you do not share never leaves your device.
What we process
Only when you share an event:
- Event name, currency and language
- Participant names and per-participant multipliers
- Expense names, amounts, who paid and who took part
- A random device identifier (UUID) the app generates on first launch
The device identifier only lets us recognise the same device. It does not identify you personally, is not used for advertising, and is not linked to any other identifier.
The server also keeps ordinary web logs: IP address, request time and requested path. These exist to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
What we do not process
- Name, email, phone number or address
- Location data
- Your contacts, photos or other app data
- Payment or banking details — the app never moves money
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for ad targeting.
Joining from a browser
You can open an invite link in a browser without installing the app. In that case the same kind of device identifier is stored in your browser’s localStorage, and a cookie remembers your language choice. Both are strictly functional and are not used for tracking.
Advertising
The mobile app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may process data such as an advertising identifier under its own terms; that processing is Google’s responsibility and is separate from our server. Details: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
There are no ads on the website (splitto.me).
Retention and deletion
A shared event’s data stays on the server until the event is deleted.
To delete it:
- In the app: delete the event — it is removed from your device.
- To remove it from the server entirely, email info@nordteknik.com with the event’s invite code; it will be deleted within 30 days.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything on the device; server copies of shared events remain.
Where data is stored
The server is hosted on Hostinger infrastructure. Data is used only to operate the service and is not transferred to third parties other than the hosting provider.
Your rights
Under GDPR and Turkish KVKK you may request access to your data, its correction, erasure, or restriction of processing. Write to info@nordteknik.com for any such request.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this text is updated, the date above changes. Significant changes are announced inside the app.
