How do I share an event with my friends?
Long press the event in the list and choose Share. Send the link that appears to your group.
Do my friends need to install the app?
No. The link you send opens in a browser and whoever joins can add their own expenses from there. For people who do have the app, the link opens straight into it.
What is an invite code?
Every shared event has an 8-character code. Instead of tapping the link, you can tap the chain icon on the app’s home screen and type the code in by hand.
Can I stop participants from adding expenses?
Yes. If you own the event, long press it and open Edit Event, then turn off “Let participants add expenses”. When you are finished you can also lock the event entirely — while it is locked nobody can make changes, but everyone still sees the result.
What does the per-person count do?
If a participant stands in for other people as well (a partner, children, a friend), raise this number. When an expense is split, their share is multiplied by it.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything is written to your device first. What you enter without a connection is not lost; shared events sync themselves once you are back online.
Can I change the currency later?
Only while the event has no expenses yet. Once an expense is added the currency is fixed, because the amounts were recorded in it.
How do I back up my data?
Tap the cloud icon at the top right of the event list and choose Create Backup. Save the file wherever you like; Restore in the same menu brings it back. Restoring overwrites the data currently on the device.
How do I delete an event or my data?
Long press the event and choose Delete. If the event was shared, the server copy goes with it.

Does the app cost anything?
No, it is free and ad-supported. On iOS you are asked for tracking permission on first launch; if you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised.
Is there an Android version?
Yes. The iPhone and iPad version is on the App Store; the Android version can be downloaded from this site as an APK.
Because it is not distributed through Google Play, your phone may warn you about installing from an unknown source; allow it and the install completes.
An app installed this way does not update itself. When a new version is out you need to download it from this page again.
